Studying sciences, math, language arts and computer applications like Excel, Word and Project in high school will give you the basics for a career in project management.

It's also important to gain some experience in working with people and problem solving as well as working in a lab, in research or in manufacturing.

The main thing is to take opportunities as they present themselves, work hard and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
