My customer will sometimes send a specification booklet, or 'spec pack' of a style they want us to make. It will have the measurements and details like where the pockets should go or how a trim should look.

But ninety-five percent of the time, what I do comes from looking at other samples. I'll take ideas from four or five different styles and put them all together into one. That’s usually the way it works.
