Prairie Garden

The Forks created their indigenous species garden to bring awareness of Manitoba's endangered tall grasses and plants.

They contract Growing Prospects to maintain the garden. So I'm the Tall Grass Prairie Meadow Manager or 'Head Weeder', working to keep it lush and healthy.

My tasks include weeding the Prairie Garden of non-indigenous weeds, watering it and informing visiting public about the Garden. I also take care of five other locations located on the Forks site.
